Eric and I will always remember the fun we had paddling with Jack and Bunny to Cayo Costa and the Halloween contest. At the Robert Service poetry canoe trips Jack recited a memorable Madame la Marquise with his great, deep voice that still resonates in my memory today. He had a funny drinking song he sang complete with sound effects that had everyone laughing. We especially enjoyed the overnight canoe camping on the Peace River Veterans Day where Jack and Bunny celebrated our veteran paddlers. He always made an SOS breakfast for everyone (carrying all the supplies by canoe) the next morning. A special person. He will be missed.

Today, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Jack Schneider. I have such happy and cherished memories of my time with Bunny and Jack - talking politics, solving world problems, camping, camp cooking, eating, canoeing, cooking cooking, making travel plans and oh so much more ! Jack was warm and welcoming always stimulating and joyous company. I am fortunate to have known him. It is my hope that knowing that Jack was much admired and loved will bring some peace and calm to Bunny and his family.

Bunny and Jack led our Great Books Discussion Group for decades, and I know all our past and present members would want to express their gratitude to Bunny and Jack for providing us an enjoyable forum for exploring great writing and ideas. It has been a source of pleasure and enlightenment.
We remember Jack especially for his immeasurable contributions: the guidance he provided, his unique combination of great intelligence and common sense, the ways he encouraged others to think independently and express their ideas, and the way he expressed his own ideas in a logical, persuasive manner.
Jack will be missed greatly and always remembered fondly.

So many wonderful memories from paddling days. Jack was so fun and even made MADRAC on the Mississippi worth repeating. Now singing with Angels.
Our condolences to Bunny and Family.
