Dear Family of Ken Barnebey,

Our heartfelt condolences to all of you on the passing of Ken, the patriarch of your family, a wonderful gentleman and dear friend. Ken and Faith were our next door neighbors on Rocky Knob Road in Blowing Rock.

We recall having delightful tea time with them on our infrequent visits to our cottage there. Ken took a neighborly and helpful interest in our property, often calling to report any issues of weather, fallen trees, etc. Besides giving the simple alert, he often just took care of the problem and accepted only the smallest of remunerations.

We injoyed conversations about his business adventures, his family, his enjoyment of golf and concerns about development in Blowing Rock.

We are so fortunate to have had Ken and Faith in our lives and to have met a few of you.

Faith's mountain top burial service was lovely and I am sure Ken's service will be inspiring and comforting to all of you.

God bless you.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I will always remember the letters he sent to me, as a member of his sales department at Tropicana, on the occasions of my birthday (which I shared with Faith) and hire date anniversary. I was quite touched that the head of the department would take the time to send personal letters to a new hire at an entry level position. I was also honored that he spoke at my retirement dinner in 2008 and was most complimentary! Rest in peace, Ken.
