Ty Ross, was such a terrific friend and although we only met him only a few years ago, seemed like part of the family. I looked so forward to June when the Julie and Ty would return to Hiawassee for the summer. Summer days always included meeting Ty walking Holly, and later Jake, in the early morning and late afternoons riding them on the ATV. Even if you didn't see him riding in the afternoons, you could hear the ATV on the trails. At least one day of the weekend he would stop by to see what project Danny had going and throw the ball with our dachshunds. He was always upbeat and interested in what was going on. Even when Julie and Ty returned to Florida each fall, he kept in touch. Humorous emails, unusual pictures and texts kept us in touch. I know come June, I will feel the void even more as we miss seeing him and having his visits. My last text from Ty was the day before he died What's Danny building today? I will miss those exchanges from this great friend. Our little neighborhood won't be the same without him.

Grandpa Ty's sence of humor and huge smile will be greatly missed. He was known for his generosity and always being willing to meet a need. My husband and our son spent a few days with him and Julie in their Georgia home not too long ago and I am so glad we made that trip. Ty always had quite the itinerary planned for us. From hiking with Cranberry, the hiking cat, to exploring the beautiful Helen, Ga. He always caught amazing pictures of our adventures and spammed all his friends with them because he was so proud of us. His first great grandbaby, Gabe, really made a connection with him. They bonded over Gabe's obsession with Batman. Ty would relate everything to Batman and Gabe would be so tickled by this. We will truly miss him and are so grateful of the memories that we have. He is forever in our hearts. We love you, grandpa Ty!

I love you Uncle Ty. I will always cherish your special memory and all of the fun times we shared together for over 40 years. I take comfort in knowing you are in a better place and that you lived life to the fullest and loved life to the fullest.

I know you will be waiting for us when we all meet again someday. Love you and miss you forever and a day. Love, Hilleary
