Scotty and I were good buddies in MD way back in the '70s. We shared many good times; traveled around to find specimen plants, mostly insectivorous. I remember his kind heart, friendship, laughter and with a smile, his wild antics. He was a good friend to me. Safe travels friend.

I met Scott just after basic training at Lackland AFB in October, 1968. We were assigned to Wright-Patterson AFB (Dayton, OH) and roomed together. Scott and I played plenty of pranks on the guys on the third floor of Barrack 1215. We had no problem trying to top each succeeding practical joke. Scott was a great friend and greater guy. Still miss him.

I first met Scott when we were both 17 years old. With him I shared some of the happiest years of my life. He taught, by example, the importance of friends, laughter, joy and making life a wild ride worth living. I will look forward, until we met again, with a smile on my face and eager anticipation of the best that is yet to be. I love you Scott.
