BUCYRUS: Naomi R. Eppley, 89, formerly of 5054 Ridgeton Rd. and for the past 8 years a resident of Carlisle Place Assisted Living passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2014, at Carlisle Place following a lengthy illness. Naomi was born January 26, 1925 in Bucyrus to the late Austin and M. Ruth (Sherer) Yaussy. She was married March 25, 1945 to Warren E. Eppley who preceded her in death on January 2, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Faythe Eppley; sister in laws, Phyllis and Carol as well as brother in law, Frederick.

Naomi is survived by daughters, Susan (Ronald) Rhoads, Alliance and Sandra (Kenneth) Lust of Sycamore; grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Rhoads and Matthew Rhoads both of Alliance, Jeffrey (Carla) Lust of Tiffin and James (Rossanna Christian) Lust of Bowling Green; great grandchildren, Lindsey and Ryan Rhoads, Nicole Colley, Logan Lust, Madisyn Lust, Brynn Lust, Gabriel Lust, and Rossanna's daughter, Alexia Workman; brothers, Rev. Donald Yaussy, Lakeside, OH and Rev. Richard (Erma) Yaussy, Newton NC; sister, Hope Schieber, Louisville, KY; brother in laws and their spouses, Harold and Martha Eppley, Bucyrus and John and Jody Eppley of Rochester, MN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Naomi was a 1942 graduate of North Robinson H.S. She was a homemaker and did secretarial work at the County Extension Office for 30 years. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ridgeton Rd. where she taught Sunday School, participated in the Church Choir, and was a member of the Rebecca Circle. Naomi served on the County Farm Bureau Board, and enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Bucyrus Community Hospital, playing cards, singing in the Sweet Adalines and had been a member of the Mothers Club. She and her husband loved to travel and visited all 50 states as well as 14 countries.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sulphur Springs with Rev. Hans Scherner officiating, burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. The family suggest memorials be made to the Church Cemetery Fund and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
