My Aunt Anna was one of the best people I ever knew. She was warm and welcoming and made me feel like I was her favorite. I have a feeling that everyone she came into contact with felt the same way. She got me my first job, wrapping gifts at Christmas, for Bill's Shoe Box, where she was the bookkeeper. I think I was 14 years old. She was also a legendary cook and consummate entertainer and I always looked forward to going to her house for a meal or dessert. I still compare all fried chicken to hers. And don't get me started on her chocolate meringue pie. Every Thanksgiving for many years, I called her for pie making advice and she was pleased to give it. Aunt Anna was also hysterically funny and had some of the best one-liners I have ever heard. We laughed a lot around her. She will be greatly missed.

Anna was like a grandmother to my family growing up. She was a beautiful person that we loved dearly. My sister said it perfectly. " she was a bright star in our childhood darkness." Thank you Anna for making us feel so special with your candy, lemon pound cake, and love.

Sincere codolences for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn," sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61: 1, 2
