Our sincere condolences go out to Barbara, Kelly, Patrick, and the grandkids of this great man, Chuck! I am so sorry that I was not able to express my sympathies in person to you, but I did not find out about this loss until after services had been held.
I will miss our visits when Chuck would drop by the shop with fresh grapefruit in hand, and open with "I hear there is a good machine shop somewhere around here" and my reply...."no not any GOOD ones...just this one" followed by his stories of boats, Beloit, designing machines for Coastal Bend Tooling, and how the family is doing...the book store, Patrick, and Kelly, and the grandkids...including the Newf!
Chuck meant a lot to us at Coastal Bend Tooling... I was just starting my own family when he came to work for us...Chuck (and Barb) gave my son his first book...it was "Goodnight Moon" and I think "the potty book" was another Flanigan gift...Now both of my children have graduated high school and I will no longer be able to look forward to my next visit from Chuck.
I hope that you all can find comfort remembering the life Chuck spent with you all. He cherished all of you and was very open about that in our conversations. I will greatly miss those visits...
