Was sorry to hear of the passing of a great mentor. Sympathy goes out from Susie and I to Martha, David and Ann, as well as Margery and Robert, and the rest of the family. I was fortunate enough in my 13 years in Victoria as part of Welders Equipment to have had Dave as a mentor and friend. He was always quick to remind me to not over complicate business and life with his simple saying of, "take care of your customers and those around you and they in turn will take care of you". His commitment to Victoria and desire to constantly make it better was obvious in his every day involvement in many organizations. I will always be grateful for my years to work with/for DSE and DPE. Dave always had high expectations of himself and those around him and expected your best. He was a great man and will always be thankful for my time spent with him in many talks.

David was a great mentor and friend during my 13 years in Victoria with Welders Equipment. Susie and I would like to express our sympathy to Martha, David and Ann, as well as Margery and Robert. He always had high expectations of himself and those around him and will always be grateful for the many lessons of business and life I was able to be exposed to during our numerous talks. He loved Victoria, which is obvious from his many contributions to the community and the efforts to always help improve the city. I was blessed with the opportunity to have worked with/for DSE and his son DPE. He was always quick to remind me to not over complicate business and life with the simple saying of "take care of your customers and those around you and they will in turn take care of you." He will be missed and will always be thankful for wise and heart felt guidance.

David, you were my hero, the big brother I never had. I remember so vividly the day that you and your young fiance, Martha
Abrams, came to visit us in McAlester. I was 12 then and it gave me such pride to see my big cousin in his uniform with the wings and 2nd Lt bars. Rest in peace, dear cousin. We will miss you terribly. You were special.
