Anna Jean Followell, 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with her brothers and sister in Heaven to continue to watch over her family on May 5, 2017. She was born on February 28, 1933 in Kennett, Missouri to Leonard and Druzella Followell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Simmons; sister, Therma; brothers, Jack and Don Followell. Anna is survived by her children Deanna Taylor, Donnie Johnson and Darrell Phillips; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was loved by her entire family and will be missed by all.
Anna was the Monarch of the Followell Family. She was loved and adored by all who met her. She was known to always have a place for anyone to stay; she would give even a stranger the shirt of her back if they needed it. She was a loving woman with a warm heart, although she is gone her memory and life lessons will remain in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.
