My condolences to Ken, I was a school nurse where Joan worked and have since left the area. I was so sad to hear of Joan's passing. She was a special lady. God Bless you in your grief and know that she will be missed. She touched a lot of little lives in teaching and within each student she will live on. God Bless!

I was sad to read of Joan's passing. We met while working at Blanche Moore and became good friends. Joan was a dedicated and loving teacher to her kinder students. We would travel the area searching for flee markets or book stores. She was always looking for her collectible plates, jewelry, and children books. She was so happy about moving to Colorado because she was going to have family there, her in-laws. After she moved, we spoke a few times and then lost contact. She would always end our meets or phone calls with "love you". So for now Joan, "love you" and may you rest in peace. My condolences to Ken, his family, and her friends.

I met Joan at the TAMUCC book store. We started a friendship that was dear to me. Ken and Joan coincidentally lived very close and I enjoyed running into them often when they walked their dog. Joan and I shared many good times together. She loved to teach young children and devoted herself wholeheartedly to that. I missed her when she moved away and will miss our long distance conversations full of joy and laughter as we shared our life experiences. Our deepest condolences to Ken and family.
