Jose Delio Peña, Sr.

Orange Grove - Jose Delio Peña, Sr., 74, was welcomed by our Lord and Savior on January 06, 2021. He was born on August 22, 1946 in Nueces County, Texas to Uvaldo and Francisca Carbajal Peña. He was a mason worker for 59 years and a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Santos Felan, Mario Peña, Martin Peña, Ismael Peña, Guadalupe Lopez, Estella Saenz, and Uvaldo Peña, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa M. Peña; his children, Rachel Peña, Rosalinda (Dwayne) Kraatz, Rebecca (Jorge) Ortiz, Ruth (Rev. Gerald) Phelps, Sr. and Jose (Belinda) Peña, Jr.; his siblings, Oralia Sanchez, Arturo (Maria) Peña and Alicia Gomez. He was also loved and adored by his fifteen grandchildren, Jessica Phelps, Emily Phelps, Megan Phelps, Kayla Phelps, Gerald Phelps, Jr, Miguel Ortiz, Matthew Ortiz, Manda Ortiz, Victoria Ortiz, Isaiah Peña, Noah Peña, Christopher Kraatz, Ruby Kraatz, Aurora Kraatz, Ava Kraatz, two great-grandchildren Aria Smiley and Carlene Phelps as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited at 7pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.

May the love of family and friends be with yall through these hard times. I will cherish the childhood memories I have of uncle Delio and one of the best summers I sent with my cousin in Orange Grove. My prayers are with each and everyone of yall during this hard times. Love yall
