She was my favorite teacher at W B Ray HS. She turned me on to Shakespeare and I still love his works. I inherited my grandmother's complete work of Shakespeare and treasure it because I understand and appreciate him because of Mrs. W! She touched my literary soul and made me a more complete human.
I am only one of thousands, but she made me feel special. Gwen Sholar (GiGi Foelker) Class of 76

This woman had a profound influence on my love of literature and teaching. She was my senior English teacher in Corpus Christi at King School in 67-68 and I give her credit for my discipline as a writer and a reader. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Wrotenbery, I've sung your praises for 50+ years. Thank you.

Mrs. Wrotenbery was an excellent teacher who expected the very best from her students. It was glorious to win her approval. Her dedication brought forth great yields. At Ray HS, she sponsored our literary club and under her direction the annual magazine won state awards. Personally, she provided the model of a strong, intelligent, and thoroughly grounded woman that I followed to the best of my ability for the last forty years.
