My dad used to meet with Mr. Harris and several other good friends every day at the old Furr's Cafeteria at Crosstown and Port St. One of the managers at the time even dedicated a table to their group with a "Reserved" plaque containing all their names. It was one of those "momentum" things in their lives that they could all look forward to every day. I only met Mr. Harris a few times when he would stop by our shop to visit, but I remember he was very warm and personable. My condolences to his family. I am sure that he will be greatly missed and I am glad that my dad had the opportunity to be his friend.

Sonny was a well respected businessman in Corpus Christi. Our family business depended on LL HARRIS for many years as one of our suppliers. Sonny was also a good friend of my dad's and a great person. Peace on your journey Sir, you will be missed.
