Maria Guadalupe Hinojosa

Corpus Christi - Maria Guadalupe Hinojosa was called home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2021.

The Lord blessed this unique, once-in-a lifetime mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and faithful servant with 72 years of adventurous life. Maria Guadalupe was born to Alejandro and Lucia Gonzales on January 19, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Juventino Hinojosa, her parents Alejandro and Lucia Gonzales, her brother John Jay Gonzales, and her sister Mary Helen Flores.

Maria is survived by her sons: John Henry Ramirez, Gerald Ray Ramirez (Sandra), Gabriel Lee Tamez (Lydia); daughter: Ashley Marie Ramirez (John); grandchildren: John Henry Ramirez, Jr., Gerald Ray Ramirez, Jr., Brianna Rae Ramirez, Valeria Tamez; siblings Alicia Chavez, Mary Benavidez (Guadalupe), Diddle Trevino; Alejandro Gonzales, Jr., Richard Gonzales (Nora), along with numerous loving family members and friends, especially life-long friend Alicia Guerra.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown Access Rd., C.C., TX., with the Holy Rosary to be recited from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 15, 2021, 9:30 a.m. at Christ he King Catholic Church, 3423 Rojo St., C.C., TX., followed by burial at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Rd., C.C., TX 78410.
