Roman W. Ritterbeck 1929-2018
88, of East Canton, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born in Summerfield, OH on September 28,1929 to the late Albert and Bertha Ritterbeck. Roman was employed at DLH Industries and was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth J. Ritterbeck on January 12, 2013; daughter, Linda Arnold; sons, Bill and Jim Ritterbeck; brothers, Clarence, Bernard and Paul Ritterbeck and sister, Lucy Cale. He leaves his children, Mary (Paul) Nemitz, Janet Crable and Steve Ritterbeck; sister Rita Saling; son-in-law Dave Arnold; grandchildren, Preston Brown, LeeAnn (Matt) Carpenter, James Ritterbeck and Chas Crable and a great granddaughter, Kaylen Carpenter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 400 W. High St. Minerva, OH 44657, with the Rev. Fr. Victor Cinson as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Robertsville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd. SW Canton, OH 44710.
