The picture captures the twinkle he had in his eyes so often. It's what I remember most about him. He was always so welcoming to me in his quiet and unassuming manner. He didn't have to say anything with his "twinkle"and yet everything was said. Great memories. :-) My sympathies to each of his family members and friends.

Andy was the first Inspector I met while working as a clerk in the International Airmail Record Unit at Dulles Airport. His kind demeanor and professionalism were factors that led me to apply for the Inspection Service. I was glad to have known him. He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Jesus wept after the death of his friend Lazarus. John 11:35 We weep along with you. His example was written in the Bible to give us hope.

Dear Pat:

So sorry to hear the news about Andy. He was an outstanding Inspector and knew how to work hard and still have fun. Fond memories of the 70's in the Washington Division and at the old CPO with him. My deepest sympathies and God bless!

It is with a heavy heart that Patricia and I along with our family mourn Andy's passing. We have many fond memories over our 45 plus years of friendship with this kind, generous and calm-natured person. Our hearts go out to his family, especially his devouted wife Pat and his daughter Andrea who we knew best among his loved ones. May they forever hold in their hearts, as I know they will, the great love he had for them. I was on the golf course when Andy made a whole in one. He asked where his ball went. I told him it went in the hole. He said: You think so? He walked to the hole, picked up the ball and was ready to just go to the next hole. Since we were near the club house I said let's go tell them. He was reluctant but did it. But that's Andy, I modest and low key. I enjoy seeing that ball on it's stand every time I visit him. The last time I saw him I asked him how he was doing. He said okay and referred to an end of life talk he had with the doctor. I looked at him and didn't know what to say. He looked at me and just smiled with that special twinkle in his eye. That's Andy. We will greatly miss you, my friend, and your calming influence.

Dear Pat,

The many expressions of grief herein give testament to the esteem which Andy was held by those who knew him. A true gentlemen and one of my favorite people to have been associated with. He will be sorely missed and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this trying time. May God bless you all.
