Guy Tracey Obituary



Guy E. Tracey, Jr. age 92 of Owings Mills, died Monday, September 7, 2015 at Futurecare Courtland in Baltimore. Born June 23, 1923 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Guy E. Tracey, Sr. and Clara Geaslen Tracey. He was the husband of 70 years of Edna Virginia "Virna" Tracey (nee Ing). Guy was a veteran of the Army and served from 1944 - 1945. He worked for 28 years for C & P Telephone company where he retired in 1982. He remained active in the Telephone Company Pioneers, AARP - Chapter 662 and in activities at St. Mark's on the Hill Episcopal Church. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving in addition to his wife are grandchildren David and Amy Hull, Michael and Darlene Hull, Kimberly and Ray Palacios and Timothy Hare, great grandchildren Jayden and Andra Hull, Christopher and Brian Palacios and Anthony Hare. He was predeceased by his daughters Linda Hare and Sherron Stamper. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 3-7pm at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 11am. Officiated by Reverend Adrien Dawson. Interment Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville. Those desiring may send memorial donations to the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
