Lawrence R. Carrico, 73, of Manchester, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home. Born November 10, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Paul Carrico and Bridget Marie (Ciurca) Carrico. He was the husband of Margaret Annette (Ciesla) Carrico, his wife of 32 years. Larry honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. For 25 years, he owned and operated Countryside Carryout in Upperco. Following that, he prepared and demonstrated food at Wegman's in Hunt Valley, a position he adored. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Manchester and briefly was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing solitaire and board games with his family, tinkering in his shed, and listening to Jimmy Buffet. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter and son-in-law, Lauren R. and Christopher Kalkbrenner of Spring Grove, PA; son and future daughter-in-law, Paul J. Carrico and Danielle M. LaMarr of Glen Rock, PA; granddaughter, Lena R. Kalkbrenner of Spring Grove, PA; sisters and brother-in-law, Paula M. Bonitz and Theresa A. and Glen A. Fike, all of Dundalk; and brother Russel J. Carrico of Glen Rock, PA; and many other in-laws, family, and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:30 at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, Larry's pastor, the Rev. Michael Roach will officiate. Following the funeral service, the family will again receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Larry's name be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
