Marjorie Ruby Obituary



Marjorie Genevieve Agnes Ruby, 87, of Reisterstown, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Futurecare-Cherrywood in Reisterstown.

Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Owings Mills, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Beck and Annie Blanche Pobletts Beck. She was the wife of Joseph Earl "Bud" Ruby, who died in 2009.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Years ago, she was school bus attendant for the Baltimore County Public Schools.

She was a member of the American Legion, Post 122 Auxiliary and the Westminster Moose. She enjoyed dancing and bowling.

Surviving are a sister, Edna E. Crooks, of Owings Mills; nieces; nephews; and other family and friends.

She was predeceased by siblings Viola Harnish, James Beck, Mildred Groomes and Charles R. Beck.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with her pastor, the Rev. Timothy P. Feaser, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
