I am just learning of Barb's passing. My deepest condolences are with the entire family. I worked with her years ago on a project funded by the ARC and then ran into her not long ago, must have been perhaps earlier in the Spring semester, and it was like no time had passed. She had such a warm soul and was so much fun to work with. She always made me smile. I will miss her and think of her fondly. I hope you all find comfort in your memories.

I just learned of Barbara's death today (April 11, 2018)...my prayers and thoughts are with her husband, children, and family. I worked with Barbara on the NVS Guild board and admired her professionalism and dedication to advancing the goals of the symphony. She was of such assistance to me in our fundraising activities. Thank you, Barbara. Requiescat in pace.
Sincerely,
Robert Shoemaker

Dear Scott, as you know Barb had an incredible sense of humor. She could pull off a joke at a moment's notice that would have all who were listening in stitches. The summer of 2017 she and I walked once or sometimes several times a week, talking about life and health, she in State College with Bibi and I walking with Dolce along Nantasket Beach. I learned so much on our jaunts. The picture is beautiful. Knowing she had her family around her provides great comfort. Hope you are doing well given the circumstances. See you at the end of April.
Love Amy G.

Dear Scott, I am heartbroken to hear the news of Barb's passing and will never forget her energy, sparkle, and sense of humor from times we shared, especially around the planning of Women's Resource Center related work. Know that you are being thought of during this time - and that Barb's influence deeply felt and honored. peace, Kristen

Barb and I worked together on her last Penn State Project - NEWBio. Though we only got to see each other once a year, I felt a deep connection to her, and was looking forward to continuing on as friends as the project came to a close. Barb was awesome: she was down to earth and had a great spirit.
For NEWBio, she efficiently and personably got the job done - keeping us on task and pulling together the whole so that it was more than the sum of our individual parts. She seemed always able to roll with the punches, which is no small feat for a project with 225 collaborators, students and partners.

I am so very sad that we have lost a great friend and leader.

So sorry to see this. Barb was one of several great mentors that I have worked with. She always loved animals and I will never forget the lessons learned. RIP Barbara. My thoughts are with her family.

I'm heartbroken to hear of Barb's passing. She was such a wonderful friend and host to Ed and me. I will miss seeing her when I visit my cousin Scott. Our sincere condolences and prayers for the family, and friends she called family, during this difficult time. All our love to you, Scott.
