We are so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I will always remember him as a guard at Corning, who would give me candy when I stopped by with my dad!

When he checked my seabag for my first cruise as a Penn State midshipman, Chief Gunners Mate Seymore read the inventory to make sure I had all I needed. He patiently explained that "skivvies" referred to my underwear. Thank you, Chief. Smooth sailing!
