Enjoyed many days with Pappy at Rockview while I was in the Records Office.

Pappy was one of my very best friends in PGM. We spent much time together. In 1950 we drove to Headquarters, Idaho where we both worked in Potlatch lumber camps that summer. One day while working in the woods alone he heard a noise in the brush and went to investigate. It was a cute little bear cub and he soon found himself being
chased at top speed back to the camp by mommy bear. That was the last time Pappy became curious about a noise in the bush. In 1954 when I went to Colorado and my fiance came to join me, Pappy without being asked took a train to Colorado to be best man at my wedding. We were delighted as we had not expected him to do that. Recently we have kept in touch by phone often. I am really going to miss those conversations. Bon Voyage my dear friend.

Pappy stood and later on sat beside me for years in the Penns Valley Mens Chorus. He was a wonderful tenor singer, but was an even better man. Pappy always flashed a mischievous smile and shared stories and jokes. He made practices and every singout fun. I miss him and will carry him in my heart and in each song. God bless you Pappy and hold you in the palm of his hand. "It Is Well With My Soul" is sung now by Pappy in that heavenly chorus.

Roy was a subcontractor on our former home. We respected his work ethics and skills. He was truly a dedicated family man. Happy we got to know him. Maxine Kuhn

I loved that Roy was part of the choir and he will be greatly missed! He had a wonderful sense of humor.
