I was sorry to learn of my cousin Velma's recent death. My father was her mother's youngest brother. Although I only met Velma a few times in my lifetime, I treasure the memories I have of her. May she rest in peace.

Dear Pat and Ed,
My mother, Virginia Saxion, roommate with your mother at Centre Crest, is completely lost without Velma's assistance, care, and love to her. We have only known your mother for about a year and a half when mom was transferred to be with Velma. John and I get back to Bellefonte about twice a year and your Mom was delightful, witty, and caring. I speak for all of us in telling you that we loved your Mom and already miss her. We are sorry that she left us so soon but feel she is in a much better place now. I'll bet she is deep into that crossword puzzle and about to finish it. May she rest peacefully and you, her sons, remember the fun times and the good times with your mother.

Friends,

Virginia Saxion, Bellefonte
John and Jane Borthwick, Torrance, CA

Dear Pat and Family - I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your precious Mother. Please know that she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Velma was a very lovely lady and we all cherished our friendships with her. May God be with you all during this very sorrowful time.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I met Velma at the beauty parlor at Centre Crest. She always was a sweet presence. Enjoyed her smiles, sense of humor and kindness. She always knew it took "an hour" to dry her hair. Prayers for all who will miss her.

With deepest sympathy, may the power of prayer ease your sorrow, bring you peace and provide much comfort for you during this difficult time. Matthew 21:22

Velma was always a bright spot in my day. We laughed about how much we had in common with so many years between us. I will miss her very much.
