Rhonda Anne Lewis SUMMERVILLE - Rhonda Anne Lewis, 59, wife of James (Lew) Lewis, of Summerville, passed away on June 20, 2014. Memorial services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 1 o'clock. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in Rhonda's name, to the American Heart Association, 4669 South Blvd, Suite 103, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Rhonda was born September 29, 1954 in Tazewell, VA, a daughter of Elwood Slade and the late Dorothy Jenkins. Survivors include her loving four-legged companion, Princess Tabitha Anne; her husband, James (Lew) Lewis; two daughters, Karrie Anne Carlsen and husband Bruce of VA, Ellen Delia and husband Corey of SC; six grandchildren, Charles Keenan, William Sawyer, Angela Delia, Courtney Anne Carlsen, Austin Delia, Michaela Carlsen; her daughter-in-law, Tracy Sawyer of SC; her father, Elwood Slade of GA; two brothers, Jimmy Jenkins of FL, Michael Jenkins of TX; and one sister, Sharon Koger of VA. Rhonda was predeceased by her son Michael Sawyer, and her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and William Jenkins. Will miss Rhonda's laughter and great stories at our wives' lunches & Subvet meetings. Always enjoyed her company. We will miss the memorial service as we will be in Ohio but will be thinking of Jim and family.

Lew, Words can not express the sadness I am feeling for you. You have always been like family to me, and your beautiful wife was no different. Rhonda and I shared a book near the time of her sons passing, The Shack by Paul Young. We found comfort in it. Let me know if you would like a copy.
