Charles B. Taylor Jr., 69 of Monroe, NC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2018.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jo Summerlin Taylor; daughter, Ashleigh Fritz; son, Jeremy (Mariann) Taylor; grandchildren Timathy Purcell, Joshua Fritz, J.J. Taylor and Haylee Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the church at Ebenezer Baptist Church 1417 Unionville Indian Trail Road W., Indian Trail, NC 28079 for children's playground equipment. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 10:30 am at the church followed by burial at Price Family Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.McEwenMonroeChapel.com.

JoAnn and family, we are so sorry to hear about Charlie. He was a such a sweet man, and a joy to be around. We have a lot of great memories of him from Hickory Grove. I know he will be missed by all his family and friends. Our prayers are with you all at this time.

We were saddened to hear about Charlie's passing and will always remember his great friendship. We also had the opportunity to work with him for several years and shared many new experiences together during our carrers. He was highly respected for educating and training many students and employees. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
