U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Rose nee Bradbury. Devoted son of the late Lucille nee Russell & Edward Prorok Sr. Loving father of Michael (Joann) Prorok Sr., Marian (Benno) Jaks, Kathy (Frank) Garcia, & Susan (Art) Ayala. Cherished grandfather of Mike Jr., Kimberly, Zdenek, Ricardo, Chadwick, Anthony, Daniel, & Carlina. Dear brother of Donald (the late Ina) Prorok. Fond uncle of Dan Prorok, Donna Prorok-White, the late David Prorok & many more nieces & nephews. Funeral Thursday 9:00 am from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn to St. Patricia Church in Hickory Hills for Mass at 10:00 am. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial to the ALS Association: 1300 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209, or to the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, 5000 South 5th Avenue, Hines, IL 60141 would be greatly appreciated.

Marian, Benno and all Prorock family members,
I could not believe my eyes seeing your dad in the paper. I am without words. I can only pray that you have comfort in knowing your mom and dad are together again. I pray also for your strength.
I remember your dad and I dancing the polka at a HRI Christmas party. What a wonderful man. When I think of HRI, he is the person who comes to mind. You were all so blessed to have him as long as you did.
