My condolences and my thought prayers are with you, your family and all ! Robert was a great and down to earthly person! I met him at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois and took a pic. His manager was a great person, who allowed me to see him. My family friend, Anthony, who, is a special effects worker for Conrad and Shane. We still together for 31 years, 2024. God blessedly!!!

Oh, Mr. Conrad! Not only were you indescribably handsome; not only were you yes tough and resolute; but most importantly you were kind, compassionate, and caring. That was the real you. I still can't get over when you said if you could have anyone's autograph it would be your mother's, and when I was in kindergarten I said my hero is my mother because she makes me a lot of clothes. What a beautiful connection to have with you!! Much love

Only actor in stuntmen hall of fame. Insane energy and coordination. No other actor could have played Jim West. His shorter stature made him even more superhuman. Best choreographed fight sequences of his time. As a child I worshiped him. He will never be forgotten.

What can I say about " Uncle " Bob that hasn't been said before. He was straight forward , he was not a Hollywood phony , he was always helping people in every level. He got me into the Hollywood stuntmen's Assoc., open up a door to a career I never dream of having for 20 years, as a Hollywood stuntman. I am glad he is not suffering anymore, but I will always miss him in my mind and heart, "Uncle " Bob, R.I.P.

Robert Conrad was my hero when I was age 12 -- loved his demeanor and athletic stunts, and the great gadgets in The Wild, Wild, West. Had the pleasure of meeting him on a ski day at Bear Valley in the mid 80's, during which we had a nice conversation, while he was entertaining a newborn with a bottle! He was making High Mountain Rangers with his sons at the time. Great guy and a disciplined athlete! His long career gives him some immortality. Can watch him in reruns!

I have been a big Wild Wild West and, as an aviator, Black Sheep Squadron fan since the 60's and still watch WWW reruns almost every day. I have enjoyed Robert Conrad’s shows over and over throughout my life. He remains an inspiration to me for his vitality in life and his charisma on the screen. I never met the man but I did hear one of his pod casts a few years ago and I thought about possibly calling in or maybe seeing him some day. I never did meet him but I am saddened by his passing and wish his friends and family all the best memories of him, my father suffered with dementia before he passed. Thank you for providing this opportunity for me to share my humble thoughts.

I am truly sorry for the families lost, oh my god one of my favorite actors I always loved the hero he was in the movies. He was a very handsome man and no matter the years he always looked great. I grew up watching westerns and still love old movies and actors from before my time. In the wild west no one could hold a candle to the way he dressed. To his children live your life knowing that he was a joy to watch on tv. He was a joy to watch all the time. Peace be with his family.

We all hated for this day to come yet nevertheless it is upon us and we are the ones left to tribute this great man who made such a incredible impact on us as children as well as adults. Competitive, masculine, attention to detail, self defense, boxing, karate, etc. I know of subgroups of people who you just knew they understood someone's love for his James West character, as well as Pappy. I was fortunate enough to have my letter read live on his radio show and I felt as thou I got to meet him without actually meeting him. There will never be another one like him and Hollywood should acknowledge that.
RIP Bob,,

Thank you Mr. Conrad for your beautiful acting life. My family, from Port Arthur, Tx would make sure we never missed you in the Wild Wild West on Fridays. I was a very young lady at that time. I bought the series in video several years ago and still watch the show. I just realized that your character of Jim West was very strong in nature and always dealt with the situations at hand and always came out on top. I really believe that show has helped me through the years in life. God Bless you and your family forever. RIP...

Mr. Conrad
I liked your show Ba Ba Black sheep. A good tv series about Pappy Boyington and world war 2. You did a good job playing him, and that good show brings awareness of world war 2, to new generations today and to come, after we are gone. We must not forget sacrifices of wars our US military has been involved in, and is currently involved in, and your
WW 2 show lives on after you. Ba Ba black sheep will have a positive impact to new generations to enlist in our American military, and do the job, and they will do the job. Again, thanks for that good WW2 tv series.
Plus Red West,
(Elvis Presley former body guard) also had a good part in this series as a rough, tough, and grizzled, USMC Staff NCO. And your eveready battery tv commercials gave us a good laugh back then and with your threat/challenge to knock the battery off your shoulder was funny to us, and we would imitate your commercial. Thanks for your work in the entertainment industry, for us regular folk, and thanks also to the support staff, who work unseen doing the lower paid grunt work, who make the shows possible.

What a wonderful, sweet, tender, loving man, who was, I believe, sometimes misunderstood for the depth of his soul. I never met anyone with a deeper soul. He appreciated even the smallest kindnesses. So often self-deprecating, often feeling undeserving of those kindnesses. I spoke to him once, chiding him for not eating healthy at that time. His voice choked up and he thanked me. Deep soul. Robert was my favourite male television star when I was a kid, starting about when I was 7 years old, because of his personality and his role as Jim West on the Wild, Wild West. I found him (still do) to be quite inspirational as a non-apologetic masculine adult figure, of which there are far too few now even more than then. I actually picked up some of his mannerisms as I religiously watched that programme, and it helped me many times with women and fighting off bullies as well.
By the grace of God, I had an oppourtunity about 20 years ago to meet Robert in my hometown, Auburn, CA, as he quietly had some fliers delivered announcing his proposed arrival date to come to the local high school and do a lecture, video, and slide show on his unique career.
I arrived at the school at dusk, and making my way up the walkway, there he was..leaning with his back against a tree. I said, "There he is!," and in his ever-so-cool grovely voice, and barely audible, he says, "Hey. How's it going?"
That was one of the highlights of my live, and then hearing him do his lecture and sharing behind-the-scenes stories, well, it doesn't get too much better.
He inspired me even subconsciously as recently, I found myself assessing a workshop I do discussing my Dad's and my own life with philosophies and experiences, and I realised it to be really similar mechanically to Robert Conrad's lecture.
Thank you Robert, my favourite gentleman tough guy, from Chicago like my mom.

I grew up in the 60's and of course I never missed an episode of the Wild, Wild West which is probably the best series in television history. Robert Conrad was quoted as saying that there was no one else like him in the acting business. The fact that he could do his own stunts and choreograph the fight scenes that were vastly more realistic than anything else on screen is testament to that. I would like to know if Bruce Lee was a fan because you can see Conrad's influence in the Lee films. I feel enriched to have followed the life and career of a unique man with all his triumphs and tragedies but who lived life to the fullest and remained spiritually strong to the end.

Robert, Duke, Doodlebug, Snookie, Conrad the list goes on, however many names you've had I could only call you Robert I referred to you as RC but found it strange to call you anything other than Robert. Besides your volumes of names and roles you've had and shows you've done I'm honored to have called and be called the most important word, friend! I've learned not to use that word too lightly, unfortunately, and yes, you warned me! I'll be forever grateful that you let me into your life and allowed my dream to come true by meeting you! I of course had to do it the HARD way before your radio show where many had easier access to you! That's the thing that makes you so very special, no other actor of your caliber has ever let their fans in like you! You're one of a kind and they definitely broke the mold after you! You're always in my heart and I'll love you forever, until we meet again! God bless you, and knowing you're no longer in pain is the only solace! Rest easy my friend! Love you, love you, love you! I recently saw an older tribute site to deceased Ross Martin & his great relationship with Bob Conrad in the Wild Wild West, but it asked if sometimes viewers actually could like the sidekick more than the hero.It also asked for an opinion on that question at the following url. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVF_Lsjh1xc
MY OPINION FOLLOWS: The perfect combination Conrad & Martin, each a supreme actor with a skill set suited perfectly for the role they each represented. Their combined personalities made their friendship so realistic that it's impossible to rate either higher than the other in importance to the success of the greatest TV action series of all time.
What makes a peanut butter & jelly sandwich so great is that both ingredients have stand alone taste & quality. But when the sweetness & fluid consistency of Jelly is combined with the unique peanut taste & pasty consistency of peanut butter, it makes a peanut butter & jelly sandwich one of the all time favorites... when situated in the right platform of a white bread.
And so it was with Martin & Conrad on the Wild West platform!!! ...or was it Conrad & Martin on the Wild West Platform? Like jelly & peanut butter on white bread, no mater which comes first, it's the combination that makes the total package a memorable & enjoyable experience.
Ya know, the next time I watch one of my Wild Wild West DVD episodes, I think I'm gonna have a peanut butter & jelly sandwich & really enjoy the show!!

The fictional character James West was a big reason I joined the army, and became a military policeman. The honor, duty, sacrafice, respect and dedication to president Grant was portrayed flawlessly by Robert Conrad, and he made James West the type of hero any young boy wanted to be. Thank you, Mr. Conrad for setting an example in toughness, fortitude, and a "don't take crap from anyone" attitude that has helped me through my entire life. I was 5'8", and 145 pounds when I went to MP school, the smallest guy in my class, and I graduated, thanks to the inspiration you brought to life in the form of James T. West. Thank you, sir. You won't be forgotten.
