Abby babysat for my brother and me when she was in highschool and we were in grade school. We always wanted her to babysit, and upon her arrival we would direct her to stand in the livingroom and make us laugh while we sat on the couch. She always did. It is so funny to reflect on the nonsense she would put up with and full heartedly participate in. I vividly remember a number of dances she produced on the spot that made Henry and me nearly pee ourselves with laughter. She always was honest with us. I remember respecting and admiring her so much for being an authority figure but not treating us like babies etc. As I got older she "chaperoned" me to a concert or two that my parents weren't interested in attending. I felt like friends even though she was there to watch over me. She was so approachable and easy to talk to. When I was in highschool we met up once and went out for dinner. I asked her for relationship advice and she only made me feel comfortable, safe, and supported with her feedback. It was so important to me to have Abby as a role model. I can hear her laughing and remember myself with big child like eyes looking at her with admiration and wonder. I love you Abby.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Abigail Flagler. Our friendship started in high school, and recently we had reconnected. I feel very fortunate to have been able to share so many memorable moments throughout the years. 2020 has presented us with some challenging times, and I appreciate the time and effort she took in seeing if I was okay. What I admired most about her was her ability to go after what she wanted. She was also never afraid to speak her mind. Her humor and perspective on life were one of a kind. Those are just some of the things I will remember her by. Sending all my thoughts and prayers that she finds peace.

My deepest sympathies to the whole family. I always enjoyed that Abby and Stephanie were friends in middle school and was sorry to see your family move from Munster. My last memory of Abby was when Stephanie and I went downtown to spend the day with Abby. We walked everywhere and Abby showed us the High School she was going to start at in the fall. Abby was so proud of it. We had a lot of fun that day.

I am devastated to hear of Abby’s passing. I met Abby a few years ago in Chicago through our mutual good friend Elianne B. Although I only hung out with Abby in person a few times in Chicago, those few times were enough to leave such an impression on me of what a funny, beautiful, kind, and strong person Abby was. When I moved back to CT, Abby and I kept in touch through text, and her messages and updates always made me laugh and feel grateful to have her as a friend. Abby had a beautiful energy and kind soul, and she wasn’t afraid to be herself. My heart goes out to her family and all those who loved her during her journey here on earth. I know that Abby is now in heaven and she knows peace. Abby, I wish we could have had more time with you here on earth but I know that one day we will see you again. I will miss you very much Abby. You are loved and missed immensely. Rest in paradise beautiful angel.
