To Fr. Mike's dear relative ; and lifelong friend. Forever shall you be in my prayers ... and his !

Just saw Anita's obit. Now she is in heaven with her close cousin, Fr. Mike Sawlewicz. They met one another, when Fr. Mike got stranded in America, at the onset of WWII, and Anita was a young girl, living in Chicago. Fr.Mike mentored Anita, and she was his lifelong friend -- attending his funeral in 1994. Mike is welcoming her ; and I, too, shall be praying for her, and the whole family.

Fr. Mike's deacon from his last parish in Kankakee, Illinois ( St. Stans.) , Pete Henrisey from Manteno.

Hi Carla, As you may remember me, I worked with your Mom many years ago at Hobbit Travel. I always liked your Mom and will always remember her as "spunky". My kind of gal! I thought of her as "older and wiser". I now realize I am older than she was at the time, but none the wiser! I still bring out a large crystal Xmas tree she gave me one year. I have hung on to it all these years. For some reason, I will always remember Anita in a red and white wrap around dress she once had with her bright white hair. Very classy like your mom! I expect her to be wearing it when I see her in Heaven.
