Dear Kathy,
We were so sorry to hear about your loss. Arthur was such a good man. He was the ultimate professional, a brilliant pediatrician, a dedicated colleague and a caring friend. Arthur not only took care of our three sons, but he took care of their parents, as well! Our thoughts are with you and your family. May memories of happier days help ease your pain in the weeks and months ahead.
Warmest Regards,
Tammy & David Lorber

Dr.Dechovitz was my son Jonathan's pediatrician, and was truly a caring and gentle soul. it was the group's practice to have one doctor available for phone calls each morning before patients arrived, and I waited anxiously to make a call after taking our son home from the hospital the previous night. After I explained the concern, Art responded : "welcome to parenthood Dr. Goldstein (I was and am a child psychologist)." I still think about that today, 38 years later. May your family remember what a wonderful man he was.

Dr. Dechovitz took care of my three children. He without a doubt inspired my oldest son to go into Pediatrics where he now practices at Lurie. In the mid 80's, when my other young son at the time son had breathing problems resulting from croup, Dr Dechovitz personally drove him from Glenbrook Hospital to Evanston Hospital in order to monitor his condition. In spite of the fact that my son vomited in his car, that was of little concern to the doctor. Our family feels a personal loss with his passing. May his memory be for a blessing.
