Dear Barbara Ann, Scott, and Jim and Families,
It was sad news to learn that your dear mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend passed away on New Years Eve. Although words are inadequate at this time, hopefully it helps to know that others care and understand.
May the memories of the happy times which you were able to enjoy with one another strengthen you as you address the future.
Both your parents were very special and wise individuals. May their memories always remain as a blessing for each of you.
Sincerely,
Arlene Crandall, a friend since 1967

Aunt Barbara was an original -- the matriarch of the Chicago branch of the Jarrow family for all these years, she took her job seriously. She has kept in touch with all of us for all this time. My last email from her, just weeks ago, told of having joined a new book club. She was active and engaged until the end, and I will always remember, fondly, her caring and encouragement. She will be missed.

Cousin Barbara, I just had the pleasure of speaking to your beloved daughter, Barbara Ann, who I knew you were so proud of as well as your sons, Scott and Jim and their families. You were always in my thoughts and I have told my friends what an amazing woman you were. It was so kind of you to keep in touch all of these yesrs since my mom passed away in 1999. You were the most interesting and charitable person I have ever had the honor to know. I regret not speaking to you more recently. I was glad to know that you lived a full life until the end and were blessed not to have had much suffering. I hope and believe that you can hear my thoughts. You have made so many contributions during your life and I know that you will Rest In Peace through eternity. ❤

BARBARA WAS A FRIEND FOR YEARS., A MIST UNIQUE AND INTERESTING LADY WHO ALWAYS KNEW THE RIGHT THING TO DO AND SAY. WHEN WE MOVED TO GLENCOE MORE THAN 50 YEARS AGO, SHE ASKED OUR WHOLE FAMILY TO DINNER. WHO ELSE WOULD ASK A FAMILY WITH 9 CHILDREN TO DINNER? ONLY BARBARA>. SHE LED A MOST WORTHWILE LIFE DOING THINGS THAT WERE CHALLENGING AND UPLIFTING. SHE LIVED A GOOD LIFE; ALL OF US COULD EMULATE HER. IT WAS A PRIVILEGE TO BE HER FRIEND.
