Not sure what to say?

Bernie was my favorite boss when we both were at the Sheriff's Office in the 1970's. He was an effective alderman. I have fond memories of Bernie and his wife, Lois.

Bernie - Rest in Peace!

Loved Taste of the 50th that he orchestrated. I used to go with my mom and grandma every year. I remember the grand years of the 50th ward with restaurants like Talbots, the Belden and the Angus. He was a Chicago icon to West Rogers Park!

Alderman Stone was a great friend and supporter of Single Room Occupancy Housing.
His continual involvement helped to secure permanent SRO availability for thousands of low-income, single adults.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Sorry for the sudden loss .He was a strong fighter and in the years past he worked hard to help and make the community better. Historical Society has tried meny times to have him share and put his ideas and history into the history of the community. Sorry he was not able to do it. I shall always remember your mom, Robin and all of you over the many years of working together.

Dear Jay, Ilana, Lori and families,

Please accept our sincere condolences and sympathy on the loss of your beloved father.
We wish we could be there to share your grief and sorrow.
Bernie was a proud member of the Tuley High School class of 1945 and a charter member of the Tuley High School Hall of Fame.
A little known fact is that he was a member of the school football team that won it's first game after the school resumed the program after a long hiatus that started just prior to the depression.
He was a real Mensh and will be missed.
