Carol Wright Obituary

Born Callie Beatrice Gibson on August 21, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2013 after a fearless battle with cancer. Carol was a beloved school teacher at Kozminski Community Academy who retired from teaching and moved to Arizona in 1992. An outstanding cook she was well known for her cookies and cakes. She is remembered as a phenomenal woman of beauty, humor, faith and strength. Carol is survived by her four children: Toni Carolyn, ReGina Denise, Michelle Cali of Phoenix, Arizona and Daniel Vincent of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by her siblings, Sonny, William and Mattie of Chicago, Illinois. Carol was blessed with eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 2pm at Benson Family Funeral Home, 3224 West Montrose Ave., Chicago, IL 60618. 773-478-5800.
