I was just getting re-acquainted with Cash last month when he began coming to my class, Sit and Get Fit, with his daughter Nellie. They were both enjoying the class; Cash always thanked me when the class was over and said he would be back. I could tell there was a wonderful bond between him and Nellie. I will keep his entire family in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Gail Avgeris

From the day he set foot on the island he was a powerful figure and role model. Proud and humbled. I will miss him.

our dear friend has left us and he will be missed everyday for his gentle ways and smiling face that always meant so much to both of us.

Cash was one of my true heroes. Being around him made you want to be a better person, to be more kind and more empathetic to all people, and to give 1000 percent in all we do in life. I cannot say enough about how he and Sheila helped me and my family through my battle with Leukemia and in ensuring that no matter what happened everything will work out. His sense of humor even after Nellie and a bunch of us would be caught as kids doing crazy kid stuff was commendable. Even the big Red X made from permanent marker on Maggies paw brought a smile to his face; like he somehow knew that x was a stamp of admission to a party at the MacDiramid house ( nope she stayed home from the lake that weekend) lol. Thank you God For allowing us to spend time with an incredible Human being here on earth as it is time for Cash toprovide you with some really good stories and a lot of laughs.
