Julie, Claire and Family

We were sad to hear of Dave's sudden passing and unaware of the services. So sorry, we couldn't be present. I had felt something had happen, not seeing you both at mass that last two Sundays. A staple of joy seeing you both in mass. I should have said something yesterday at mass. Please know, our thoughts and our prayers are with you as members of SSPP family. Dave's presences and kind gestures were always welcoming and warm, rather it was our visits during lent at the fish fry, mass or our conversations about Marian Central sports. Truly a wonderful soul. Words alone are not enough. Eternal rest grant onto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Gods blessings.

My prayers are with you; Dave was such a great guy and will be truly missed. A candle has been lit and a prayer said in the Grotto at Notre Dame In Daves memory. Here is a message from the Notre Dame Prayer Team; I know that Dave was a big fan: It is always so difficult when one so young is called Home. We pray that David Castetter was welcomed into God's Heavenly Kingdom with open arms. May all of Dave's family feel God's comforting arms around them as they mourn his loss. May he rest in the eternal peace of Christ.

I met Dave in H.S., but our friendship developed afterwards. Even though it has been many years since we spoke, I will always consider him one of my closest friends. We had so many great memories including our trip to New Smyrna Beach, Bartending at a Glenview fundraiser and many trips to Hackney's. I was with him the night I got the call that my Father passed away from Cancer and he knew just what to say. I remember his wedding to Julie and somehow I even remember the day Dave and I were at the NBK bike track when Dave decided that he wanted to ask Julie out, and I was pretty confident that Julie was equally as interested in him. Dave also played a role when I met my wife, Sharon, when we worked at IVI Travel.

I wish I could have been there today and I have been thinking about Dave and his Family the past couple weeks. I can't believe he is gone, but I am happy that he is no longer suffering. Rest in Peace my Friend!

I am very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a wonderful person and was one of my managers at JP Morgan Chase. I will never forget him being there for me when my father passed away in 2012 and I was in Dallas for his memorial service, as he reached out to me to see that I was ok. This touched me very much. He was a very caring person and a great manager. He will be missed greatly.

My prayers to the Castetter family.
