Dean was our terrific next door neighbor and happened to be the first person to meet our now 16 year old daughter. Dean would engage the girls in conversation about school and such. They had the connection of all being Jamieson Elementary students at one point. He was truly a kind, gentle and thoughtful man. We would enjoy our “over the fence“ chats. He will be greatly missed.

As one of the Deans of Pupil Services, an extension of the Counseling Department, I will remember you as a terrific counselor always willing to assist Orr's students to be their best. Rest in Peace.

Dean was my mentor at Orr High School. He showed me the path to becoming a true teacher: one who gives unconditional respect and is non-judgmental. Dean loved his vocation as a teacher and counselor.
He left a legacy!

It was my pleasure to work with Dean Savoy for over 20 years at Orr Community Academy. We worked together as Guidance Counselors over the years. What I remember most clearly was how much Dean loved his job. He was kind and helpful to both students and staff. He was a problem solver and a great listener. I appreciated and valued his friendship.

Dean was my colleague at Orr High school back in the 80s. He was a counselor to the kids, but he was also a counsel to his colleagues. Dean was such a sincere loving person. He had true gift. The kids loved him! He was so calm and humble. He was very nice to me when I got transferred to Orr from Clemente. I will never forget his kindness to me.I
