We learned of Fred's death this morning at St Leo's. A gasp went up in the church when his name was included in prayers for those who had died recently. We have so many good memories of our times with him at Spanish Wells and Arbor Trace. We were looking forward to seeing him in Florida. He will be missed here. Our love and prayers go out to all of you.

Very sincere condolences to the entire Golden family. I remember Freddie Golden when I was a kid and I thought Freddie was a lot older but now I find I'm 82 and Freddie is just 5 years older. I may have last seen him at the St Patrick's day parade in Naples, Florida. My name is John Collins (Jack), retired Chicago Police Captain now residing in Park Ridge, IL. My grandmother (Mary or Mayme Golden Connon) was a sister to Freddie's father (Tom) - I called him Uncle Tom. My Granduncle (Patrick or Paddy Golden) who lived with us was a brother to Freddie's father. You would never know they were brothers - my uncle Pat was about 5ft 6in and my Uncle Tom over 6 ft tall and both great White Sox fans as am I to this day. So I guess that makes me a cousin on the Golden side of the family. I remember meeting Freddie's brothers except probably John who I think was in Little Rock, AK or maybe in Service. I especially knew Greg since he lived close by and was at my wedding in 1961 with by uncle Paddy Golden who was also Greg's uncle. Didn't mean to ramble on - sorry since I didn't expect you to know me. Freddie was a real nice happy fun guy and myself and my wife Kay will pray for him. May he Rest In Peace.

My sincere condolences to your family for the loss of your love one. Please know that God is near to give you the strength to endure during this difficult time and may you take comfort in his promise that he will bring back our love ones we have lost in death-John 5:25-29.

Dear Colleen, so sorry for your loss. Fathers are so special in a family, and l am sure he was a wonderful man just because I know you, and you are his daughter.
May God comfort you and your family with His peace that surpasses all understanding.
You are in my familys prayers
Love Daniela and Gabriel Curea
