I would always jokingly call Allen my lawyer as he was of great help and consideration when it can time to dispose of my moms house. But he was more than that. I would see him at family gatherings at the Meyer house here in Los Angeles over the years - and I mean many years. I looked forward to conversations with him. He would ask about how my folks were doing. I am truly sorry to hear of this. Sincerest condolences to Nancy, Chuck and Carla, Sue, the Gutzmers and assorted family and friends. This is a difficult and tender loss. My best to all of you. Ziggy K.

Suzanne and Family; Allen was an inspiration, mentor and friend when as I was forming the Jewish War Veterans Post 710 at Temple Sholom. His continual guidance and support continues to be a major success of the JWV Post 710. Our community service programs and his personal interest in my veteran work was to expand Post 710 efforts to smaller Jewish synagogues in communities in Illinois. Always supportive and suggesting . I'm honored to have him as a mentor and friend. My condolences to the family than thank you for sharing for the past years.

One of Allen's many roles was that of careful and clear-eyed family historian, our go-to guy for everything Eller. I think I speak for all of us when I say that there was no such thing as a "quick question" for Allen . . .his interest and enthusiasm was so genuine and his knowledge so formidable that you just had to settle down and enjoy the ride into all the byways and back roads of wherever your question led him.
I will miss his intelligence, his tolerant command of our often raucous family Sedars and his solid and loving presence in my life.
