Dear Maria Inez, Rosa, & Howard's extended family,
My heart is with you all-Howard was the kindest and funniest human being and friend I have ever known-you were blessed to have him in your lives, as he was to have you-yes, he was an unofficial member of my Minnesota family-we all loved him and will miss him.
Sincerely,
Barbara

Maria Inez, Rosa and Eric, I can't say how sorry I am for your loss. I light has gone out of the universe with Howard's passing.
He was a friend and honorary member of the Stahler family.
We were all so happy that he found the love of his life when he found you, Maria Inez, & I know that when Rosa was born his heart swelled to 100xs it's size.
Howard was game to try anything, one of the funniest people I have known, a good friend to many, and shared freely with those around him.
Thank you for being in his life.

Howard was my best friend to whom I relied on to keep me grounded. He could always reduce complex and challenging decisions to the most simplistic. I appreciate you Howard. RIH, my friend.

Dear Maria Ines,
Dear Rosa,

When we were all younger, Howard was nearly adopted into our family. He was a hill of fun, always game for an adventure, and to be honest completely the opposite of someone from rural Minnesota. When he came to visit us in Jordan the first time, he'd never been anywhere where it actually got dark at night. Another time, we learned that he had never managed to get stuck in a 4-Wheel-Drive vehicle before. Always a new adventure with Howard, and he was always up to it! We loved his visits.
Since moving to Germany, I've gotten a bit out of touch, to say the least. I'm very happy for him that he had you as his family. Through my siblings I've heard how happy he was being with you.
I'm sure you miss him.
My sincere condolences on your loss.
Peter Stahler
