My condolences for the loss of your dear mother. I was a second grade teacher at Kingsley School in Downers Grove when Jane was the librarian. She was a wonderful person and we shared many lunches, always enjoying her cheerful spirit. Somewhere in my recipe archives is a fish soup recipe that she shared with me and, if I remember correctly, it came from her fun family times at their lake home.
