Just looking at some artwork and thinking of my aunt Jane. I can't believe she is gone. We miss her so much. She was the most interesting person anyone could meet, very artistic in everything she did. She had such an exciting life and so different from her sisters Lynne and Dianne. I wish I could have gotten some of her traits, but I did not. I think her grandchildren did, I saw a picture in Florida that one granddaughter had painted and it was just like Aunt Jane. My mom, Lynne, is the last sister left and she misses both of them so much. I'm so happy she was my aunt and I wish I could have spent more time with her. She was amazing! Love & miss her so much.

Janie was my father's sister (my aunt) and my growing up years are filled with memories of her staying with us from time to time in our house in Fox Lake. She was the most creative person I ever knew. She put on marionette shows and wrote her own scripts. She did shadow shows of mock surgeries that fascinated not only the kids but also the adults. Her stories of Horace the Horse kept me enchanted. It was no surprise when many years later Penguin published her first book...not a fantasy but a well researched book used as a text in college courses. She was a very special, unique person who added many magical memories to my life.
