Jay, you were a blast to play bridge with, to talk with, to share a drink with. I will treasure our time together always.

If only I could read cards and people as well as you did!

Yesterday afternoon, the day you died, I didn't want to play bridge, but did, in memory of you.

I came in second.

Today, I went back to the bridge club in Turin, Italy, and learned that the scores had been recalculated.

I came in first!

Jay was an important part of our life when our kids were little. It's where our daughter learned to swim with her friend Terry. We were there when Jay lost her husband. I loved how she kept her Christmas tree up until Easter just because it made her feel festive. Her Christmas parties were epic. And her name should have been Joy because that's how she was
