Its been a while since i have seen Jeff but yet that doesn't matter. Actually, i only saw him one time after 8th grade. Unfortunately, because some of us had to be bus to Thornwood HS where we could have walk to TF south. but like i said it really didn't matter. for some reason we had a great and memorable grade school. A bunch of great kids which i still think about til this day. Jeff of course was one of them. I remember in 8th grade seeing him in the Jazz band which at that time was an elite band with few members. I took it for granted how talented he really was. I was glad that jeff was outgoing, talented, and not afraid to give his best everyday. I also remember working 2nd shift downtown Chicago and listening too the loop and at that time they would have an audience member start the PM show announcing the first song. I heard Jeff! i thought that was darn cool. ok and then i had to try that as well, it took me a long time but i finally got to announce the first song one day. but i never would have if i haven't heard Jeff. I am sorry he had to leave this early in life! i was blessed to be part of his life as much as i was. Maybe god just needed new Jazz band member with a great sense of humor...

I know these words do not come close to alleviating your pain but we are so sorry for your loss. I have seen from my parents that losing a child no matter what age or what circumstances is the most difficult journey a person takes. But know that Delbert, Piper and I are your family and will be there in spirit for you both. We love you.

Grieving a death is a very personal experience. The loss of an adult child is never anticipated. This death affects us intensely on so many unexpected levels. We grieve what was, we grieve what might have been. We relive the moments of school events, cheering from the bleachers, sitting in the auditorium We watch the adult life take fruition. Watching that beautiful baby turn into a man and living life, being a parent and loving through it all. This is a time when you are overcome by sadness, full of pain and confusion. Know that we are always here for you both. Losing a child, an adult child is an incalculable blow because a mother's love does not have an expiration date. Pat and John, our hearts ache for you.
