I worked at Ben Franklin in EGV right when I turned 16 and visited the candy counter many times as a child. He was a very kind man. He, his wife and daughter were a very hard working family. Many of my early childhood memories involve the Grove Mall. It was great for the community.

He was a pioneer of Elk Grove Village in the 1960's. When President George Bush enacted the American with Disabilities Act, Joe took my advice in connection with the shopping center and upgraded his facilities to conform with the new laws. He always gave more than he got.
May God rest his soul.

If Mr. Serfecz lived on Lincoln Park West in Chicago in the
early 70's with his wife Maria, then an old neighbor with
fond memories of Maria, especially, sends condolences to
a daughter I never met but may have helped come to this
country. It's a long time ago, but I wanted to write.

Dear Serfecz family,
I am very sorry for your family's loss. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things we may ever go through. But we are not without hope.
Jeremiah 29:11,12.
