I went to South Shore HS and had classes with Ken. He could be the class clown and was liked by everyone. We would occasionally meet at Santa Fe Speedway for the weekly motorcycle races until it closed in the 90's. I had not heard from him until 2009-10 when he called me at work and we promised to keep in contact. He called and invited me to garage night early this summer and I went and met his wonderful friends at his shop and had a great time.
I missed our HS reunion but wanted to come up north to share a beer and decided to look on Chi Vin Moto only to find the notice of his passing. A wonderful friend will be sadly missed.

I just heard of Ken's passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to his sister and family. I met Ken 35 years ago when I was around 10. Ken and my father were friends through cars. I always loved stopping by Ken's shop(s) as a kid and hearing his stories (the stories about his shop cat Squish were some of his funniest). A wealth of knowledge on everything from Chicago history to cars. I last spoke with him in September and planned to see him in December. A genuinely kind man and all around great guy. He is a man who will missed.

A really comfortable and decent human being and a Sterch softball legend. He didnt do popups but other than that, he was solid and a joy to play with. RIP Kenny
