Larry was the captain of my championship 8th grade recreation basketball team. I did my part by simply showing up and avoiding a forfeit, as befell other teams. Last game, Larry comes up to me and says, "You haven't scored a point all year, have you?". No, I hadn't. Mid-game, I was standing under the basket, and Larry passed me the ball. I missed. He fought off everyone, got the rebound, and passed it to me again. Missed. AGAIN he fought for the rebound, got it, passed it to me, and I made it! He pumped his fist and seemed as excited as I was. Obviously, I never forgot that, and have always tried to pay it forward...

What a sweet guy and a gentleman. Loved your smile Larry and loved cheering for you for LTHS.

I remember Larry from high school, being just as friendly as that wonderful smile in your photo of him. Deep sympathies.
