Leah and George lived right next door to us on Chatfield Road, and you couldn't have asked for nicer, friendlier neighbors! Our son Andrew was born in that house, and Leah came over with the most beautiful, handmade quilt. We still have it -- 27 years later. They were like extended family. If I needed something, I knew I could always call and stop by. May Leah's spirit live on in the many lives that she touched. My deepest condolences to the family. Sending much love and gratitude to you all.

I had the pleasure and honor of being Leah's neighbor in Winnetka. Leah was a person of insight, wisdom and humor. All of those things she shared with me. As I too attempt to "age gracefully" she will continue to be my roll model.
Cheers Leah!!!

Leah Westerman was one of a kind and she certainly lived a long life. When I was in middle school, the Westerman home was a safe haven for me. Mrs. Westerman was strict but loving, she was honest and forthright and wise. I loved going to Chatfield Lane and hanging out til my own dinner bell rang. Thank you, Leah, for the memories. My love to Mary, Carol, and Jim. RIP Leah and George.

I was so fortunate to have met Leah many years ago.when I was a guest in her home. Warm, lively, fun-spirited and intelligent woman...she left a lasting impression!
She will be missed by many.
Un abbraccio,
Grace
