Dear Charki, Nancy, Danny, Freddy and family,

We are so sad to hear of Lila's passing. She had a zest for life that can't be measured. She accomplished so much. She educated herself at a time when that wasn't always done. She took over Warren's insurance business and actually found a real calling. She did consistent water aerobics. She loved geneology. I spent hours talking about the Rosen Family. Of course, she had the classic Jacob and Helen Rosen family picture where Uncle Jake was standing on a box.

She has always been especially close to my late Mom and Dad. But, she was close with Charles, Raye, Rose, and Sam as well. I will never forget many of the stories she shared with me.

She along with the rest of my Chicago relatives, helped shepherd me through undergraduate school and medical school. I remember riding out the Glencoe with Uncle Phil and Aunt Ann and Uncle Jake and Aunt Helen to her house. My father had always joked with Uncle Jake by holding out a $100 bill to make him walk faster. We get out of the car and Uncle Phil gets out the $100.

Almost 30 years later, she helped Charlie while he was at Northwestern.

Lila had a long and productive life. She was very proud of all of her children and rightly so. She also took pride in all of her grandchildren.

Lila and I are first cousins as Her mother, Helen, and my father, Jack are brother and sister. However, she was about a year and a quarter older than my mother, Esther. She passed away this past February. Both were over 90 years old.

Love,

David, Anita, Rosie, Max, Charlie, Little David, and Myles
