Tato (father) - I have to start by saying "Thank you". I say this for so many reasons because the blessings of my life are built on your shoulders. You gave me guidance, support and stubbornness with the strength and work ethic that has allowed me to deal with any opportunity or challenge in front of me.
Growing up you were the provider - putting in place a veterinary practice at a time in your life when so many are often thinking about retirement - where you would continue to touch countless lives (both human and animal alike) for almost 50 years. That hard work gave both the means and example for my future.
Then you became mentor when I became an adult. You were there to support me both from a distance and in person where you were eager to support me with my many projects around the house during visits, outlasting me in stamina on more than one occasion.
You were a wonderful father-in-law and then grandfather, welcoming my beautiful wife Kim and providing love as a Dido (grandfather) to my wonderful daughters, Tallia and Karina. How their friends were amazed when they spoke of you.
And when I grew older, I learned about the hardships you endured that would break a lesser person. But you didn't let those times define you and you created friends across generations who would move mountains for you. How often I would ask myself "who is this man?" as I continued to find out more about you and the generosity you shared with so many.
But you were always Tato and Dido and I will forever keep the love and memories with me and share the story that is Petro.

Dearest Dido, You were the best father in law a young bride could hope for. Your love was unconditional and limitless. I could not have dreamed of a better grandfather for my children. You were always so interested in all your grandchildren's passions, goals, aspirations, and achievements. Not a day went by that you didn't express your awe, love and admiration for one of their "this and thats". You were so proud of all of us, and I hope you know how proud we all were of you. I will continue to live my life, accept change, and welcome new friends into my life with you as an example. You're favorite daughter in law will keep you in her heart forever.

We are incredibly sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your Father with us.
I had the pleasure of knowing Doc since I was a little girl. He had treated all of my dogs and even my pet hamster. I stopped by for visits just to say "hello." He ran his practice like a family and he always made you feel like part of it. He had good humor and wit. He knew usually the animals would be fine but the humans would probably need aspirin and a drink after worrying so much.
When we lost one of our dogs my sister asked him, "Doc do dogs go to heaven?" He said, "Spell dog backwards, GOD, they go first."
Enjoy heaven Doc. Thank you for everything, Thank you for taking care of all the Zippy's, Stubby, Papa & Professor. Thank you for taking care of me. You made this world a better place.
