Karen Louise Fischer, beloved daughter of John Fischer and Martha, loving sister of John (the late Charlotte) Fischer and Margaret (Roger) Blasius; loving aunt of Roger (Sandra) Blasius, Kevin (Joy) Blasius, Jeff (Debra) Fischer, Brian (Julie) Blasius and Staci (Jason) Shoudis; great aunt to 10 great nieces and nephews. Karen died peacefully in the presence of family and friends in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Karen was a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, and previously lived in New Mexico. Prior to that, Karen resided in Lombard while teaching in the Oak Brook school district. After moving West, she worked with Focus on the Family, the Colorado Springs Library and other charitable organizations. Visitation Friday, 12:00 p.m. until time of service 1:30 p.m. at HURSEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, SW Corner of Roosevelt & Mannheim Rds.,Hillside/Westchester. Interment Glen Oak Cemetery.
